Vendors, retailers, and service providers on your platform are represented by sub-entities in our solution. A sub-entity is used to collect the information we require to perform verification checks, as well as capture certain preferences.
Wait for Checkout.com to perform asynchronous verification checks — to get the verification results, you can either check the Dashboard or receive webhook notifications
If the verification is successful, the sub-entity’s capabilities will be enabled.
If the verification fails, you may be prompted to provide new or revised information so that Checkout.com can conduct checks again.
Before a sub-entity can receive settlements, they must:
pass the required settlement verification checks
add a payout method
Your Integrated Platform account type will determine:
the verification checks performed on your sub-entities
the capabilities available to your sub-entities (and enabled once checks are passed)
Unless otherwise agreed during your onboarding, the following table explains what is included.
Account type
Verification checks
Capabilities enabled if passed
Lite
Card scheme screening (CSS)
Payments
Full
Card scheme screening (CSS)
Politically exposed persons (PEP) and sanctions
Know your customer (KYC)

The information required depends on the sub-entities' registered country.
This section focuses on information required for compliance and verification purposes. For a full list of what the Accounts API requires, see our API reference.
To provide greater flexibility, we don’t need you to provide all the data required for verification checks upfront; you can onboard a sub-entity with the minimum required information and then enrich it later through updates.
We will trigger our checks only when we have all the information required to conduct them. If you do not provide all necessary information, your sub-entity will remain in the requirements_duestatus.
Learn more about the actions you need to take if your sub-entity is in the requirements_due status.
Unless otherwise agreed during your onboarding, sub-entities on the lite account will have the payments capability available.
The requirements for a Lite account are the same across all regions where our Platforms solution is available.
The requirements for a Full account vary depending on the regulations of the region. To see the required information for each region, refer to the API reference.
There are four main document types you may be asked to upload as part of the onboarding process for a full account:
Proof of identity documentation
Company documentation
Bank documentation
Proof of address documentation
Each uploaded document must meet certain standards in order to be accepted for verification.
Unless otherwise agreed during your onboarding, sub-entities on the full account will have the payments and payouts capabilities available.
Select the registered region of the sub-entity to see the document upload requirements.

Occasionally, our team will need to manually review a sub-entity before the result of our verification checks can be confirmed. Manual reviews take longer to complete and may delay the check result and capability update notifications that you should expect to receive. If you have provided all the required sub-entity information and have left sufficient time to receive notifications regarding the outcome, then it’s likely that the sub-entity is being manually reviewed. However, if you have any concerns, contact us.
