The following table explains the card verification value (CVV) response codes you might receive when you carry out a CVV check or verify a card.

| CVV did not match |
| CVV should be on the card, but the merchant has indicated it is not present |
| CVV check was not performed |
| The issuer does not support CVV |
| CVV information is not available |
