Checkout.com is a global payment platform that supports multiple payment methods across a variety of currencies. It allows you shoppers to store their payment details once and use them across all businesses merchants that use Checkout.com.

Which regions support Checkout.com payments?

Currently, only businesses registered in the UAE who have enabled this feature can store payment methods.

What payment methods can be stored?

You can save your credit and debit cards for faster checkout.

What card types can be stored with Checkout.com?

Checkout.com supports all major card types, including American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Mastercard, Mada and Visa.

How do I make a purchase with one of my stored payment methods?

To make a purchase using one of your stored payment methods in Checkout.com:

  1. Verify that the email identified is the one associated with your account.
  2. Request a one-time password (OTP).
  3. Confirm the OTP.
  4. Select the card you want to make the payment with.
  5. Proceed to checkout.
How do I create a Checkout.com account?

To create a Checkout.com account, click on the "Save card details" to check out faster everywhere Checkout.com is available option at the checkout page when purchasing with a participating merchant. You will be asked to confirm your phone number and email.

Can I use my Checkout.com stored payment

No, using a store payment method for subscription payments is not currently supported.

How many payment methods can I store in my account?

You can store as many payment methods as you want in your Checkout.com account.

Can I see the past purchases I made using my Checkout.com account?

Yes, you can view your past purchases in the Purchases section of your account in the consumer dashboard.

Can I update my phone number/email address if I no longer have access to it?

No, you cannot change the email or phone number associated with your Checkout.com account. You must delete your existing account and create a new account with your updated information.

How do I receive a one-time password (OTP)?

A one-time password (OTP) can be received during your registration or to retrieve your saved card details during a purchase. To successfully receive a one-time password (OTP), ensure you have entered the correct phone number. If you are not receiving the OTP, check for any network issues.

You will be asked to authenticate when making a payment or logging in to the consumer dashboard. When on those situations, click to receive the OTP via Phone number or email. If the information were entered correctly, you should expect to receive an OTP within seconds. If this is not happening, please confirm that your information is correct or contact our support team.

How can I add or update a payment method on my account?

To add a new payment method, after you confirm the OTP, select Add card. Once you make the payment, the card will be saved for future transactions.

How can I edit my default payment method?

To edit the default payment method in your Checkout.com account: 


  1. Sign in to the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Payment methods.
  3. Select More (...) button next to the payment method you want to set as default and select Set as default.
What do I need to do to verify my email?

To verify your email, open the link embedded in the welcome email and proceed to sign in to the Dashboard.

How do I view information about my recent purchases?

To view information about your recent purchases:

  1. Sign in to the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Purchases.
  3. Select the purchase to view more details.
How does Checkout.com protect my data?

Checkout.com uses advanced encryption and security protocols to protect your data.


  • We are PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Level 1 compliant, the highest standard set by the payment card industry to ensure that cardholder data is processed, stored, and transmitted in a secure environment.
  • Our systems are also ISO27001 certified. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We put in place appropriate measures to secure personal data from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered or disclosed in an unauthorized manner.

We continually review the security measures we have in place to ensure they are appropriate.

What information does Checkout.com share with businesses?

We only share with businesses information necessary to process your order, like your email, phone number, shipping/billing address, and card expiration date. We’ll never share your full card number or CVV code.

I received an email/SMS from Checkout.com although I don’t have an account.

No, you cannot change the email or phone number associated with your Checkout.com account. If you are certain that you have not saved your card details with Checkout.com, this could be a phishing attempt. Contact our support email as soon as possible.

How do I delete my stored payment methods?

To delete payment methods you’ve stored with your account:


  1. Sign in to the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Payment methods.
  3. Select Remove card to delete the selected card.

Note: Ensure the card you want to delete is not the default card.Alternatively, you can delete your Checkout.com account to remove all of your saved payment methods.

How do I delete my Checkout.com account?

To delete your Checkout.com account:


  1. Sign in to the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Delete your profile.

Alternatively, you can delete one or more payment methods without deleting your Checkout.com account.

Where can I get help with a purchase I made with my stored payment method?

If you have any queries about a purchase, contact the merchant directly.

How do I return an item or request a refund?

To return an item or request a refund, contact your merchant directly.

Why was my payment method declined?

There could be several reasons. Check with your bank or sign in to the consumer dashboard and contact our <Support team>.

To file a complaint, sign in to the Checkout.com consumer dashboard. You can find the Contact us section under Settings. Use this option to contact our support team.
