15 JULY 2021, LONDON UK - Checkout.com, the leading cloud-based payments service provider, today announces an industry-first partnership with the UK’s most accessible job board, Evenbreak.
The partnership will see Checkout.com advertise all its available vacancies on the Evenbreak portal to attract talented disabled people for its extensive range of positions. This commitment is the latest initiative on diversity and inclusion, following its level two "disability confident" accreditation under the UK Government employer scheme. Alongside the work of its colleague-led community groups, Checkout.com’s equal opportunities, building belonging and code of conduct policies ensure its commitment to inclusion is lived out across the business.
Checkout.com launched in 2012 and now employs over 1,300 people across 19 international offices, with hundreds more hires planned in H2 of 2021. Its flexible payments solutions help global enterprises unlock more value from transactions, enabling them to accept 150 different currencies and all popular payment methods through a single integration.
As of June 2020, 7.7 million people of working age (16-64) in the UK reported that they were disabled. That’s 19% of the working-age population (gov.uk). A job brings a lot to a person’s life: a sense of purpose, social interaction, self-esteem, and greater financial independence. When disabled people join the workforce, they become financially contributing members of society, and this new partnership between Evenbreak and Checkout.com seeks to act as that bridge.
Camilla-Astrid Robinson, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Checkout.com, said, "We look forward to making more connections with talented disabled candidates who can make a big impact at Checkout.com. Working alongside disability recruitment experts will deepen our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Checkout.com. We’re thrilled to partner with Evenbreak and can't wait to collaborate with the team on events, content and internal insights sessions."
Jane Hatton, founder and CEO at Evenbreak, said, “It’s an exciting moment as we launch this industry-first partnership with Checkout.com, as the company paves the way for disability inclusion for the fintech industry. The diversity of roles Checkout.com has on offer will be very attractive to our talented candidates.”
